Consumer Reports tested three non-stick pans claiming to be free of PFAS, a group of chemicals linked to health problems. They used a rigorous process to test for 96 different PFAS chemicals, including PFOA. The results revealed that two ceramic-coated pans did not contain any of the tested PFAS, while the PTFE-coated pan did contain measurable amounts of PFOA and other PFAS.
