This video compares the edge retention of three different steels used in Leatherman multi-tools: 420HC, 154CM, and S30V. The video tests how many cuts each steel can make through rope before it can no longer slice paper. The results show that the S30V steel has the best edge retention, but the 154CM steel is still a very good option.
