Keith Pickering, a stick maker in Helmsley, Yorkshire, turned a hobby into a full-time profession. They create traditional walking sticks as well as intricately carved animal heads, with a three-month waiting list for orders. Keith's passion for carving began after seeing a program about a gamekeeper who carved with broken glass, and they now specialize in dog heads, having carved over 60 breeds.
