King 'deeply touched' by scale of response to cancer recovery message | ITV News

The King is "delighted" by the positive and large-scale reaction to his message about his cancer recovery journey, Buckingham Palace has said, following a surge in visits to an online screening checker. A palace spokesman said on Saturday that the head of state "will be particularly pleased" at the way the media response "has helped to shine a light on the benefits of cancer screening programmes". The King revealed in the video that the schedule for his cancer treatment will be reduced, and stressed how his early diagnosis played a role in this development. Earlier on Saturday, Cancer Research UK said about 100,000 people visited their new Screening Checker since it was launched on December 5, the majority taking place after Charles' announcement on Friday evening.
