My drum cover of The Powerstation's Get It On (Bang A Gong). I love their first album! Hard to believe it was released thirty years ago, but to me, it still sounds fresh. This particular song features the great drum work of the late, great Tony Thompson. He provides such a crushing beat to it, it was a challenge to just keep pace! The hardest part for me was the hi-hat chokes being on the down beat as opposed to the upbeat--and to sustain that for pretty much the whole song, it got me beat! But I did my best and I hope it shows! A bit rushed in some places, but overall it is ok--to me at least! Anyway, here it is--hope you dig it. Be sure to leave a like/dislike and/or comment.
