Iran has postponed the three-day farewell ceremony for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that was scheduled to begin tonight at 10:04 pm Indian Standard Time in Tehran. Iranian media confirmed the indefinite postponement without providing a revised schedule. The funeral ceremony's delay comes amid ongoing security threats and continuous strikes. The death toll from the conflict has risen to 1,045 casualties. The planned ceremony included a public viewing and tributes at Tehran's Imam Khomeini prayer hall, with massive crowds expected to pay respects. Ayatollah Khamenei's body was to be buried in Mashhad, near the Imam Reza shrine, one of the holiest sites in Shia Islam. Mashhad, Iran's second largest city, is located approximately 900 kilometers northeast of Tehran, close to the Afghan border.
