Himesh Reshammiya Opens Up on His Singing, Acting & Controversies – Radio Nasha Film Club Part 2! On public demand presenting part 2 of Radio Nasha Film Club with Himesh Reshammiya with RJ Divya Solgama. This one carry forwards the musical journey of Himesh Reshammiya as an singer, actor and music director. Himesh spoke about why he started singing in his films and everything was planned despite of denying it for years. Himesh shared about how his was to debut his singing in Abbas Mustan film, but later did it in Aashiq Banaya Aapne. He spoke about how people kept blaming him for being nasal, while he kept defending by saying he was high pitch. He openly accepted that he is a nasal singer and also spoke about the entire controversy related to Asha Bhosle, where she wanted to slap him. Himesh spoke about the massive success he got as an singer followed by his first pop album Aap Kaa Surror with Deepika Padukone, which was earlier composed for a mega budget TV show. Himesh spoke about how he never wanted to become an actor and the success of this pop album made him venture into movies with Aap Kaa Surror becoming a massive hit and emerging a winner in front of some big movies. He also spoke about how people judged him as a star actor and not as a newcomer, while there was support from people like Irrfan Khan who always beleived that his movie The Xpose will be a massive hit. Himesh spoke about recreating Kishore Kumar’s iconic song Ek Haseena Thi and about his underrated film Radio. He also spoke about how Main Jahan Rahoon from Namaste London was inspired from Jagjit Singh style of singing and what led him to add his vocals in this iconic song. He spoke about the massive music of Sanam Teri Kasam followed by pursuing his dream by making Amitabh Bachchan sing in Bol Bachchan. He later thanked his wife Sonia Kapoor for changing his style and putting him on a strict diet, though initially she had laughed when he told her that he want to be an actor. Himesh later interacted with some listeners and spoke about his direction plans followed by his wish to time travel and collab with R.D Burman.
