This presentation explores the evolution of end-of-life care in Taiwan, highlighting how national policy has shaped and enhanced service delivery in medical centers. Within Taipei Veterans General Hospital, a leading public medical center in Taiwan, these policies have been translated into comprehensive interdisciplinary care models that incorporate ACP consultations, shared decision-making processes, and structured support for patients and families. By bridging policy and practice, Taiwan offers a model of compassionate, patient-centered end-of-life care that balances medical support with respect for individual autonomy.
