Fifteen years after giving the song to Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne plays "Breakaway" live in public for the first time. Breakaway was written for Avril Lavigne's 2002 debut album, Let Go, but was left off the album. It was given to Kelly Clarkson to record for the Princess Diaries 2 soundtrack released in August 2004, and was later included on Clarkson's Breakaway album in November 2004.
