Stripped liquid from Effluent Stripper / Bottom HX at 275°C & 5.0 barg shall enters on Preflash Vessel. The vapor under pressure control shall feed the tray 24 of main Fractionator and the liquid shall be pumped to Fired Heater to rise the temperature at desire value and shall pass to main Column on tray 31. The stripping low pressure steam is used under the bottom tray (#42) of Main Column to lower the hydrocarbons partial pressure and to help the distillation process. The bottom VGO is pumped to Steam Generator at 11.5 barg and 318°C where is cool to 229°C by generating steam and further to BFW / Bottom Main Colum HX to 219°C and to CGO Air Cooler to 80°C and sent to storage. From accumulator tray between #11 & #10 the diesel is withdrawn and sent to Diesel Stripper to correct the flash point by stripping with low pressure steam. The vapor from Diesel Side Stripper are sent to main Column under tray 10. The diesel from Side Stripper bottom at 222°C is pumped to Diesel Air Cooler (exit T = 60°C), to Diesel Trim Cooler (exit T = 50°C) and to Diesel Coalescer to remove water at desire value and then to storage. The top of Main Column at 140°C and 0.7 barg is condensed in Main Fractionator Air Condenser to 90°C and enters in Reflux Drum. The naphtha from Reflux Drum is pumped as reflux to Main Column top tray and the rest to Naphtha Hydrotreating Unit after cooled down to 40°C in Naphtha Trim Cooler. The VGO hydrotreating severity depends by destination: To FCC: the sulfur need to be in range of 500 – 1000 ppm wt, the nitrogen need to be removed because affect acid function of FCC catalyst and the aromatics saturation shall be put on first place because so called crackability of FCC feed is highly impacted by aromatics To HDC: sulfur not a concern (pay attention to not send the VGO with sulfur on stage 2 of a hydrocracker) , but nitrogen shall be removed because creates a lot of issues inhibiting the acid sites.
