COD Ghosts was released in 2013 by Infinity Ward. It is set in an alternate reality war between the US and a coalition of nations called the Federation. Ghosts introduced a lot of new mechanics into the game design and to this day is generally considered to be one of the weakest COD titles in franchise history. Ghosts was not the first game to feature dynamic map elements but it was the first to integrate them into the map design on a widespread scale. Ghosts is notable for being the first COD to feature map based killstreaks. It is also the only game to use the Field Orders mechanic. Much of Ghosts map design strays heavily from arcade style and ventures more into realistic map layouts. Many of the largest 6v6 maps in COD history can be found in this game. DLC Map.
