Al Thowarah Hot Springs is located in Nakhl in the Al Batinah region of Oman. It’s a popular destination for locals and tourists, so it would be busy on weekends. This is 90 kms away from Muscat and it takes less than an hour to reach this place. The natural spring water is channelled into the falaj system to irrigate the surrounding date plantations, and you can dip your toe or have a paddle in the run-off water. The best here is the hot bath from the pool and enjoying complimentary Pedicure facility from the Spring. Simply sit on one of the many rock formations at the side of the Wadi (River) and dip the feet in it. The small fish begin to have a nibble on toe. It tickles at first and is a bit of a strange sensation but after a few seconds, we get used to it and it’s actually quite pleasant. The famous Nakhal Fort is near by the Hot Spring exactly it is on the way to the Spring.
