This webinar was divided into two main parts: an introduction to the organization and a guide to attending the upcoming meeting in San Diego. Part 1: About the IADR Mission & Vision: The organization focuses on driving dental, oral, and craniofacial research to improve health and well-being worldwide [00:36]. Structure: It operates across five global regions (Africa/Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, North America, and Pan-European) with a membership of over 10,500 people [02:19]. Member Benefits: Benefits include reduced meeting registration fees, access to journals (Journal of Dental Research, JDR CTR), and opportunities for awards, fellowships, and leadership roles [03:21]. Scientific Groups: There are 38 specialized scientific groups and networks covering a wide range of disciplines [04:33]. Part 2: The 2026 General Session (San Diego) Navigating the Meeting: * Attendees are encouraged to download the official meeting app (using the code IADR 2026) as there are no printed programs [09:50]. Presenter Guidelines: * Posters must be set up early in the morning (7:15 AM – 8:00 AM) and remain up all day [12:46]. Oral presenters should visit the Speaker Ready Room (Room 26B) to upload their presentations [14:06]. Logistics & Policies: Badges are required for all events and sessions. There is a $30 fee for reprinting a lost badge [13:54]. On-site registration and badge printing open on Tuesday at 8:00 AM [24:02]. The association provides professional childcare services (KiddieCorp) and lactation stations (Mamapods) for attendees [12:03]. Special Events: * Opening Ceremonies: Wednesday at 5:00 PM [16:07].
