Fine crepitations are by definition crepitations which occur at the end of inspiration, have a fine timbre and higher pitch, and are not associated with clicks. In this recording, we wish to highlight that although these sounds resemble fine crepitations, the fact that they start early in the inspiratory cycle, have clicks and are 'countable' (truly fine crepitations are uncountable and have a higher pitch, and are extremely fine, without clicks). Listen carefully for the clicks - these sounds like the muffled sounds of bubble wrap being crushed. Coarse crepitations are low-pitched, louder, and last longer than fine crackles, and they often resemble the muffled sounds of "popping bubble wrap", "bubbling", or "gurgling" noises. Fine crepitations occur only in end-inspiration and have a very refined, gentle Velcro quality.
