Street running trains in Saint Marys, West Virginia! Maintenance of way railroad equipment going right down the middle of the road. Old Baltimore And Ohio Railroad main line for long coal trains and heavy mixed freight trains in West Virginia along the Ohio River. A CSX MOW regulator, a tie replacement vehicle and a high rail truck used the tracks in the street. We see the signals and how they work when trains come and we see the pedestrian crossing lights. I also filmed a bridge that goes over part of the Ohio River to a long island that is a nature refuge. The bridge use to go across the Ohio River to Ohio but it was torn down shortly after a similar bridge collapsed just west of here. Some people claim Moth Man caused the bridge to collapse but it collapsed due to a defect that could not be seen at the time. We had a real hard time catching a street running train here in the light. We were in Saint Marys for about 45 hours and only 4 trains went through. Only was on those was in the light and it came through at 7am. I will post videos of those trains soon. This video shows the MOW equipment, the traffic signals and a long coal train that I filmed 4 years ago when the line was much busier. This town is great for railfans but you really have to be lucky to catch a train here in the light. We stayed 2 nights at the Saint Marys Motel that is about a block from the tracks and you can see the trains from the motel. Trains use 160.230 and 452.9375 for EOT device. I slept in my clothes so that when a train came I could get to the tracks in time to film it. That was the only way to do it and you really have to be fast. I also heard the Saint Marys Fire Department get a few runs on 159.1725 and they still use their house siren for runs! The police use 158.730. Filmed July 13, 2021AD. Thanks for watching!
