Ta-dah! I finally found the courage to proceed with the very goal of this channel: the Saturos theme, my absolute favourite battle theme of all time! It has definitely been my hardest project so far, both in terms of transcription and performance. It seems like the volume is a bit lower than in my other videos, you might want to turn it up a notch =P Quick analysis: It starts off with an intense dissonance - two power chords with added minor seconds (I think) over a 16th note bass run. Then comes the first theme, which is very evenly balanced between the strings and the woodwind. This creates a vague sense of melody, an effect that was really hard to recreate... After one repetition comes some kind of bridge, which like the first part has a chord progression that allows a lot of chromatic movement in the bass. The second theme is like a chorus. At least it's the most melodically distinctive part. It also introduces a harp to the sound, which contributes to the drive with a series of ascending 16th note patterns. After a 5/8 mid-sequence and another repetition of the 2nd theme (this time with double bass drumming!) comes the climax: a thick melody line with an underlying synth solo, changing between em, D, Esus4, Dsus4, Csus4 and Bsus4 - all over a bass pedal point of E. I have added doublings of some of the voices in order to make them as salient as they should be. The corresponding videos have been left out to save space.
