This lighting system uses magnets to attach the Barrina LED lights to the ceiling of the shipping container. No adhesives were used, and no holes were drilled into the container. Our lights are powered by a small solar setup. This is our second lighting setup (Version 2.0). For the first go around, we used JB Weld to hold the magnets to the back of the yardsticks. It worked great for the first year and a half, but the glue eventually degraded and failed after repeated 100-degree days of this brutal summer. Now that we are using screws to attach these strong magnets, we feel that we have a lighting system that can stand up to the high temperatures that occur inside the container. The lighting install was very quick and easy. We started our install at the center of the shipping container, and then worked our way out from there. Be mindful of the welded seams every 3 feet or so on the ceiling of the shipping container, as they can force you to relocate a magnet. Also if your ceiling has large dents, you can easily add washers underneath the clips or magnets to keep everything level. Our ceiling was dented, but we didn't do any shimming and the lights still came out looking great. The system uses 6 lights. Each light uses one yard stick, two magnets, and two 1/4-inch countersunk (flat) screws. Items needed for install: (1) 6-pack of Barrina LED lights (this package comes with cords, clips and screws) (6) yard sticks (2) 10-packs of magnets (you need a total of 12 magnets, but they are sold in packs of 10) (12) 1/4-inch countersunk (flat) screws (1) Ladder (1) Tape measure Optional items: (1) File or Dremel to slightly shorten the screws used with the magnets (1) Pencil or marker for marking the center of shipping container Items purchased: Barrina LED Lights: https://amzn.to/3QQIRpK Magnets (You need a total of 12 magnets, so order 2 sets of the 10-pack): https://amzn.to/3drlGEV ----- About us: We're biological brothers who lived a large portion of our lives separate without knowing one another existed.
