Magnificent Bury St Edmunds

Today I'm in the beautiful town of Bury St Edmunds. There is so much to see in Bury. I start around the centre looking at the Corn Exchange, which is now a Wetherspoons, and has a history with Punk band, The Clash. I film Moyse's Hall, which has a rich and contested history. From here I walk to the Abbey Gardens, through the historic Abbey Gates. This is an explore of Bury's history with the Abbey of Edmundsbury, the riots of 1327 and Dissolution of the Monasteries in 1539. There are the ancient ruins of the Abbey and Churches that date back almost a thousand years. You can picture how magnificent these buildings would have looked in the 12th and 13th centuries. There is also the wonderful Norman Tower to appreciate. I then move onto the famous Greene King Brewery and Theatre Royal. After walking through ther Market I haver a pint at the Old Cannon Brewery before finishing the walk at Nethergate with a pint of Old Growler. This is just the start of Bury's history.
