A Better Stool? - SCOPIFY Telescopic Portable Stool More Info and Purchase: https://tinyurl.com/23xd97s7 Buy Me A Coffee: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/marcoscu6 Blog: https://marcoscucom.wordpress.com/202... I am very short on space in my small home office, which serves as my makeshift studio, with much of the floor space occupied by my elderly and rather threadbare gaming chair. A while back, I ordered a budget price collapsible stool to save on space, but after a while, I sent it back because, although it did the job, it was a bit too spartan for sustained use. Time goes on, the office chair is getting tattier and is still always in the way, and I thought again about the problem. I was thinking about a bar stool, but then I found this new telescopic stool . Although basically the same form factor as the previous one, this one seems better made, more comfortable, and although priced at just £26.99 before discounts, it does seem a bit more upmarket. In the rather attractive box, I received the collapsed stool, the carry strap (prefitted), a padded cushion, a storage bag, and a user guide. Build quality seems fine, all plastic, but reasonably robust and a bit posher looking than the earlier one. When unfolded, the concertina style stool measures 25W x 45H cm in diameter and has a non-slip base. When fully extended it is 45 cm tall and can support a weight of up to 200Kg. When folded, it is just 6.35 x 25 cm in size (not counting the cushion). The stool height can be adjusted in 12 steps, and the carry strap length is also adjustable. Take note that the stool itself is not padded. Assembly is easy enough once you get the knack of it. There are finger holes in the top and flat base of the stool, and using them to take hold of it, just twist and pull the concertina style body to the height you need, and then it should lock to that height. After a few tries at it, it soon becomes easy as muscle memory takes hold. Once assembled to full height, it does not feel quite as stable as I would wish, but probably is rigid enough for what it is, and it does feel a bit more stable than the previous one. It is not the sort of thing I would like to spend all day seated on, but is certainly more comfortable than the bare bones earlier model. There are plenty of rivals out there, some posh, better padded, heavy duty ones priced at up to £50. They may well be better but this one is not at all bad for the £26.99 price.
