The Sea Disappeared… so I Walked to an Island

Today I headed to St Mary’s Lighthouse in Whitley Bay for a simple wander — just me, the wind, and the wildlife. At low tide, the causeway appears and you can walk across to this small island sitting quietly in the North Sea. I spent the afternoon exploring, spotting seabirds, watching the tide roll out, and just slowing down for a bit. Sometimes the best adventures aren’t long-haul flights or big city breaks… they’re right on your doorstep.
