NATTI Webinar 1 Respiratory Health and Tobacco Cessation/Salud Respiratoria y Cesación de Tabaquismo

Este primer webinar de la iniciativa NATTI, liderado por el CCICT del Ministerio de Salud Pública de Uruguay y NextGenU, con el apoyo de ALAT, ofrece un espacio para reflexionar sobre la relación entre el tabaquismo y las enfermedades respiratorias, así como estrategias efectivas de cesación. A través de un enfoque interdisciplinario y basado en evidencia, buscamos capacitar a profesionales de la salud de América Latina para enfrentar de forma ética y activar el consumo de tabaco y nicotina. Este evento inaugura una serie de encuentros enfocados en cerrar brechas formativas, fortalecer capacidades clínicas y contrarrestar narrativas que obstaculizan la salud pública. This first webinar of the NATTI initiative, led by the CCICT of the Ministry of Public Health of Uruguay and NextGenU, with the support of ALAT, offers a space to reflect on the relationship between smoking and respiratory diseases, as well as effective cessation strategies. Through an interdisciplinary and evidence-based approach, we seek to train healthcare professionals in Latin America to ethically address and activate tobacco and nicotine use. This event inaugurates a series of meetings focused on closing training gaps, strengthening clinical capacities, and countering narratives that hinder public health.
