Dr. Lorraine Kalia is an associate professor and a clinician-scientist at the University of Toronto in Canada. She is dedicated to Parkinson's disease, both in her clinical practice as a movement disorders neurologist and in her research program as a neuroscientist. She is the co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Parkinson’s Disease and co-chair of the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society Scientific Issues Committee. Her research focuses on understanding the fundamental molecular processes that lead to neurodegeneration in Parkinson’s disease and finding new therapies that can target these molecular culprits to slow down or even stop the disease.
