The perpetrators then allegedly lured her and committed the assault. Acting swiftly on the complaint, police apprehended seven of the eight accused. They were presented before a court and have been remanded to police custody until September 30. The police have also seized a car and mobile phones allegedly used in the crime. In a recent development, the defense lawyer has submitted a plea in court requesting a verification of the survivor's age.
