A few weeks ago we received some hard news… we found out Skye wasn’t well and would start to decline which absolutely broke my family’s hearts. However before skye did decline we had chance to take her to her favourite place in the world… WINDERMERE, LAKE DISTRICT📍 Were she spent 4 days living her best life, walking , chilling and most importantly to skye eating and sleeping and then finished it off playing in the snow!☃️ Some people might see her as just a dog but she was so much more than that. She was my everything there through hard times making everything easier without saying a word… she protected my family and our house religiously and didn’t clock off till the very end making sure everyone and everything was in order. She was extremely clever and knew exactly how to get her way using her big smile and giving us the eyes. Which worked every time! She loved her long walks over the fields, she loved destroying full trees out the ground and then finishing it off with a swim in a filthy pond… and when she come home would be scared of the nice heated tap 😂. She was a mum which all her pups stayed local. She stayed with her baby smokey for a few years being the best mum. Then from Smokey’s litter we got baby blue which Skye went straight into grandma mode insuring her grandson was a double of her and her behaviours. She made so many people happy and spent all day yesterday saying her goodbyes to everyone who has been there for her from day 1. From the minute we found out Skye wasn’t 100% she’s been by mine and Ellie’s side even coming for a daily Starbucks drive for her favourite pup cup were she would wait patiently then get it all over the van.
