The United States adopted it in 1900, tying the value of the dollar to gold. However, the United States abandoned it in 1933 during the Great Depression, and the Nixon administration abolished it completely in 1971. The People's Bank of China has been purchasing gold extensively since 2023. As of September 2025, China will have 2,303 tons of gold, representing 7.7% of China's total foreign exchange reserves. Experts say this is not the real figure. In 2024, China's central bank secretly purchased 570 tons of gold, and now has over 5,000 tons of gold. So far, 24 tons of gold purchases have been announced for 2025. The RBI holds 880 tons of gold. India ranks 7th in the world in terms of gold holdings, and gold accounts for 15% of its foreign exchange reserves. The RBI's gold purchases have been slow, buying just 0.6 tonnes between April and September. दुनियाभर में सोने के दाम तेजी से बढ़ रहे हैं। सोने की बढ़ती कीमतों के पीछे चीन का हाथ है। अमेरिका ने 1900 में इसे अपनाया..,.जिससे डॉलर की वैल्यू सोने से तय होती थी। लेकिन 1933 में ग्रेट डिप्रेशन के दौरान अमेरिका ने इसे छोड़ दिया....और 1971 में निक्सन सरकार ने पूरी तरह इसे खत्म कर दिया। चीन का पीपुल्स बैंक ऑफ चाइना 2023 से जबरदस्त सोने की खरीदारी कर रहा है। सितंबर 2025 तक चीन के पास 2303 टन सोना है। यह चीन के कुल विदेश मुद्रा भंडार का 7.7 फीसदी है। जानकारों का कहना है कि यह असली आंकड़ा नहीं है। 2024 में चीन की केंद्रीय बैंक ने गुप्त रूप से 570 टन सोना खरीदा और उसके पास 5000 टन से ज्यादा सोना है। 2025 में अब तक 24 टन सोना की खरीद घोषित हो चुकी है। RBI के पास 880 टन सोना है। दुनिया में सोना रखने के मामले में भारत 7वें नंबर पर है और विदेश मुद्रा भंडार में सोने का हिस्सा 15% है। RBI ने सोने की खरीदारी धीमी है। अप्रैल-सितंबर के बीच महज 0.6 टन सोने की खरीद की। #GoldPrice #ChinaGold #GoldRate #GoldRateIncrease About Us - Dainik Jagran is the flagship brand of the company.
