DOC Campsites: Jetty Campsite at Westbay Campground, Nelson Lakes NP

A new series of videos looking at Department of Conservation Campgrounds and Campsites. In this episode I visit the Jetty Campsite in Nelson Lakes National Park. Jetty Campsite is one of two in the West Bay Campground. It is accessed from the Mt Robert Road which leads to the Mt Robert Carpark. The campsite is set amongst Manuka/Kanuka and the West Bay of Lake Rotoiti is only 50 meters away. Here in New Zealand we have a network of government owned backcountry camping sites which are available to use for a nominal charge. I will be visiting a number of these campsites and campgrounds and giving you an overview of their location, amenities and other relevant information.
