Hammy 490 Glassford Goldfields Tenere Adventure

I head back to recently visited area to explore Australian history. With access granted on an adjoining property, I set up a base camp with the Tenere World Raid, so I can explore on foot the ruins and remnants of an old mining town in Queensland that has long since been abandoned. I ride some gnarly tracks to get to the site, pack a day pack with water and emergency items, and go in on foot scratching around old mines, smelter chimneys, grave sites, and small gorges and creeks. I enjoy the therapeutic atmosphere of being solo in the bush amongst the trees and bird song, imagining what life would've been like for the mining town inhabitants back in the 1890's.
