Cirque du Soleil in collaboration with ACS are raising awareness for mental health through art and dance. Now in its 12th year of performances, A Choreographers’ Showcase continues to wow audiences with its raw talent and robust artistic expression. This dynamic partnership between the artists of two leading cultural institutions continues to be one of the most talked about events in Las Vegas each year. Utilizing the power of movement and digital media elements, this year’s performance will bridge the creative work of 16 choreographers from NBT and Cirque du Soleil into a connected and powerful journey ‘beyond the stage.’ Over 60 artists (including classical ballet dancers, contemporary dancers, acrobats, aerialists and more) will join together once again to bring the vision of these choreographers to life, employing new choreographic categories and media technology elements to harness the power of their message. The expansion of the choreographers’ visuals via a combination of live performance and video projections will further underscore the breadth of this production. In addition, student dancers from NBT’s Future Dance Scholar program will amplify the influence of dance on the next generation of performers.
