Looking for a great hiking loop in Acadia National Park? This video is my single day 14-mile solo Acadia day hike that links together Beehive Trail, Champlain Mountain, Dorr Mountain, and Cadillac Mountain — with a quiet coastal finish near Otter Cove. From iron rungs and granite ridges to shady forest paths and unexpected solitude, this route mixes iconic Acadia trails with lesser-known gems. I started with a classic Acadia sunrise over the ocean and then continued to hike the Beehive, Champlain, Dorr, and Cadillac. The loop included Ocean Path, the Beehive Trail to Beehive Mountain, The Bowl, Champlain South Ridge to Champlain Mountain, Beachcroft Path down to Route 3 and the Tarn, Jesup Path, Hemlock Path, Dorr North Ridge Trail to Dorr Mountain, and the Dorr connector trail down to the Gorge. I then went up the Gorge on Cadillac Mountain's east side to summit Cadillac Mountain. I completed the loop by hiking down the Cadillac South Ridge Trail through the Blackwoods Campground to the Quarry Trail and back to my car that was parked at the Gorham Mountain parking lot.
