12 august 2022 an egg was layed at the Port Lincoln Osprey nest. 19 september 2022 it hatched as second chick 2 november 2022 it died 44 days old, because of the severe weather, diminished food supply and unfortunately a very dominant number 1. This again, after the loss of number 3, is very sad, but also part of nature. This video shows the good parts of its short life. And they were many. This is a nest on a barge in Port Lincoln South Australia. It is at the entrance to the Lincoln Cove Marina. The Ospreys have been nesting here prior to us purchasing the barge in 2015. The nest is 1.25m by 1.5m.
