An Analogman Fuzz Pedal Shootout! (BC108 vs NKT Red Dot vs Sunbender vs Peppermint Fuzz)

Analogman (A.K.A Analog Mike Piera) makes some of the most revered Fuzz Face clones today. His Sunface pedal has many different variations and options: transistor type, LED, gain options, bias control and many more. On today's shootout I'll be comparing four of his most beloved fuzzes- a Sunlion, Sunbender, Sunface and Peppermint Fuzz. These all share the same basic Sunface circuit inside, so most of the differences you'll be hearing are simply the type of transistor. The Sunlion, Sunbender and Peppermint are germanium, and my Sunface is silicon. The Sunlion is a Sunface (Fuzz Face Clone) on the right side and a Beano Boost (Treble Booster) on the left side. I won't be using the Beano Boost. The Sunbender is a Tonebender clone with 2 British Mullard germanium transistors. The Peppermint Fuzz is a nod to those classic buzzy gnarly sixties fuzz tones! It uses russian germanium transistors.
