This workshop is about how to introduce co-production to implementation projects. It is hosted by ARC West’s implementation lead Dr Sabi Redwood and Paul Wilson, implementation science lead at ARC Greater Manchester. A range of speakers cover topics including: Exploring the role of patients and the public in the implementation of evidence into practice: the PIPER project Presented by Dr Magdalena Skrybant (NIHR ARC West Midlands) and Professor Sophie Staniszewska (University of Warwick) Integrating coproduction into implementation research Presented by Professor Lucy Yardley (Universities of Southampton and Bristol) From PPI to co-production: reflections on a programme to help victims of domestic abuse Presented by Professor Gene Feder (University of Bristol) and Dr Michelle Farr (NIHR ARC West) Knowledge mobilisation with underserved communities (panel discussion) Chair: Dr Andy Gibson (NIHR ARC West) Participants: Roy Kareem (health ambassador), Olivia Sweeney (health ambassador), Julie Swede (lived experience member, Bridging Gaps), Adele Webb (public contributor), Dr Michelle Farr (researcher) This event is part of a series of implementation workshops organised across all the National Institute for Health and Care Research Applied Research Collaborations (NIHR ARCs), held in autumn and winter 2022-23.
