Framing a Van + Plus Nuts + Floating Bed Frame Part 1 //Ep. 4 DIY VAN BUILD

In this episode of our Van Build Series we make a trip to Lowe's Home Improvement for furring strips to frame our van. We start by adding our bed frame's floating head and foot boards and finish this video by completing our horizontal framing members. We utilized plus (or cross) nuts to allow us to bolt in the framing pieces to the vans structural frame. Each plus nut is rated to a 1215 lbs pull out force. This will give added rigidity, a very secure frame to screw in our cabinets in the future, and piece of mind that our walls wont fall apart.
