City and County of Denver's 20th Annual Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Day

The City and County of Denver hosted its 20th annual GIS Day. This free, virtual event was open to the public on Thursday, November 18, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and featured several sessions showcasing how the city uses geographic information to make decisions. Denver employees use geographic information systems (GIS) to address issues like social equity, the COVID-19 pandemic response, and City Council redistricting. GIS Day is an international event that highlights the importance of geography and the GIS applications that make a difference in addressing real-world societal challenges. The City and County of Denver uses GIS to map and analyze data to understand our community and make data-driven decisions.
