A unique initiative that inspires interest in farming, love for the environment, and self-reliant living is gaining attention at Shivapura Government Primary School. The students themselves grow vegetables in a school garden to be used for their midday meal, setting an example of self-reliance. Around 168 students, from LKG to 7th grade, study at the school. For them, the garden has become a practical learning space for agriculture. Under the guidance of physical education teacher Ramananda Shetty, students of the National Green Corps Jalabindu Eco Club, along with teachers and parents, have developed the garden and are growing organic vegetables.
