In Arizona, there are two different methods people can use to figure out how much child support will be paid. The first method is to use the child support formula and go with whatever the outcome is. The second way is to agree on a child support number outside of the child support formula. However, doing this will require extra steps you have to take because it will require approval from a judge, especially if the amount you agreed on is less than what it would be under the formula.
