Piper John Reilly from Dunmore, Galway, is one such notable blind piper that we can celebrate with this new Planxty (a lively and energetic tune written in honor of a person or persons). He taught two of the great uileann pipers, who influenced so many more, Francis McPeake and Margaret Murphy. We celebrate all the men and women pipers, known and unknown.
