"Watch You Shine" is the third single from Cujo Moon's second EP set to release March 2021. The video was produced and animated by Ryan Usher (@grouch_bucket / grouchbucketart.com). “Being the first Cujo Moon song I produced, this track really inspired the sound and direction for the songs that followed. The lyrics were inspired by a TV show where a father is estranged from his son due to years of drug use. The song sat in my voice memos for months before I felt moved to produce it. Unfortunately, a super talented and long-time student of mine passed away that December at the age of 14. It was a tragic event for everyone close to the family and I was completely torn up. Shortly after, I recorded this song as a sort of catharsis. I’d like to dedicate it to his family in loving memory of Jaden.” Lyrics: Won’t you come inside I give you my word I know you never meant harm Never wanted me to hurt But all these years That you were washed away I’ve been living in fear Each and every day So come on Come on Come on my love It’s gonna be alright Just like the stars above In the dark night sky I’d love to watch you shine I’d love to watch you shine Shine so bright There’s nothing we can say To bring back the time All those lonely days All those lonely nights And how I wished you were here But you were so far gone I just swallowed my tears But I never moved on So come on Come on Come on my love It’s gonna be alright Just like the stars above In the dark night sky I’d love to watch you shine I’d love to watch you shine Shine so bright So come on my love Won’t you shine We could leave the darkness Far behind So come on my love Won’t you shine We could leave the darkness Far behind I’d love to watch you shine
