VEDIC STOTRAM By Sannyasins, Sannyasinis, Brahmacharis, Brahmacharinis and Devotees of IVS.

Vedic Stotram, recited at the commencement of the evening sessions in the International Vedanta Society (IVS), is a collection of hymns forming a part of the introductory and concluding segments of various Upanishads, namely- the Brihadaranyak Upanishad, the Prashna Upanishad, the Mundaka Upanishad, the Katha Upanishad, the Aittreya Upanishad, the Taittreya Upanishad and the Isha Upanishad. Most of these verses are in the form of prayers, invoking the blessings of the attributeless as well as the manifest forms of Brahman, of the Guru and of the Gods for the physical, mental and spiritual well being of the aspirant as well as of the world at large. Systematic and regular chanting of the Vedic Stotram, along with the assimilation of its essence in practice, elevates the mental state of the aspirant and prepares the field for the sowing of seeds by the Guru, thus ushering him to the path of sustained spiritual growth.
