For his final lecture of our 2022 series, Dorian Proudfoot of Donald Insall Associates takes a look at the magnificent stables at Wentworth Woodhouse. Donald Insall Associates have been Conservation Architects for the Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust since 2017. In this lecture, held on 24th February 2022, Dorian explores the vast scale of the stables complex, only part of which can be easily seen by members of the public. He also details the extensive remodelling that took place during the 20th Century, to repurpose the stables for educational use. The lecture also covers our current plans for the regeneration of the stables and the surrounding areas.
