MXR 5150 Overdrive Pedal (EVH In A Box?) Go grab all of my music (for free if you want) from   / elmojk   Is this pedal the Eddie Van Halen's sound in a box? He's known for having a great guitar sound, and for being a brilliant guitar player. If getting his sound is as simple as buying this guitar pedal, then that would seem like a no brainer. And even if you don't get his sound, you might get a good sound from the pedal. I try out the 5150 with two guitars, one with stacked humbuckers and one with regular humbuckers. That's because I got the feeling that the MXR might work better with regular humbuckers. But hey, I might be wrong.
