How abduction of a minor Dalit girl from Prayagraj landed her to a Jihadi network in Kerala? On May 8, Sapna (name changed), a school-going girl, had gone to a wedding with her mother, Guddi, where a friend, 19-year-old Darkasha Bano took her out for a walk. In no time, she took her to a nearby mosque where Mohd Kaif was waiting for them. Soon, they reached Prayagraj railway station, from where they arrived in Delhi and then traveled to Thrissur, Kerala. Throughout the journey, Bano was in touch with her boyfriend, Mohammed Taj. How did she convince minor into joining her? By telling her perks of Islam. Upon reaching Kerala, the minor was taken to a house where there were many bearded men and two or three girls her age. They were discussing her conversion to Islam and training for Jihad. Fearing this, she managed to escape from captivity and reached a police station, from where her rescue operation began. This case has again pointed toward the infamous Jihadi indoctrination network operating in Kerala. Despite organisations like PFI being banned, such networks continue to persist. How many such girls have been trapped by Islamists and taken to countries like Afghanistan needs to be investigated
