The PAX is a sensitive, high-resolution, fast-response instrument for measuring aerosol optical properties relevant for climate change and carbon particle sensing. Droplet Measurement Technologies (DMT) PAX Photoacoustic Extinctiometer (405 nm) for real-time aerosol optical properties: measures light absorption at 405 nm via photoacoustic detection and light scattering via the integrated nephelometer, enabling derived extinction, single scattering albedo, and black carbon/soot metrics (application and calibration dependent). Built-in touchscreen interface with continuous data logging on the internal controller.
