A heartwarming royal moment unfolded at the Palace of the Ooni of Ife during the 2025 edition of the Hopes Alive Initiative for Africa (HAI) Aged Fend Project, a signature humanitarian outreach led by Her Regal Majesty, Olori Ambassador (Dr) Temitope Enitan-Ogunwusi, Queen of the Ooni of Ife, and wife of His Imperial Majesty, Arole Oduduwa Olofin Adimula, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II. The atmosphere was filled with joy and emotion as Olori Temitope gracefully danced with a 150-year-old man, said to be the oldest living resident in Ile-Ife. The touching gesture, which drew cheers and admiration from attendees, symbolised compassion, unity, and the timeless Yoruba reverence for the elderly. The HAI Aged Fend Project 2025 brought together hundreds of aged citizens from across the ancient city and neighbouring communities, who were celebrated with gifts, food items, and cash support. The initiative, consistent with Olori Temitope’s long-standing commitment to humanitarian service, once again showcased her deep love for people, her humility as a royal mother, and her unwavering dedication to improving lives through purposeful compassion. It was indeed a royal afternoon of love, laughter, music, and gratitude — a moving reminder that kindness is the true crown of royalty. #OoniOfIfe #OloriTemitopeOgunwusi #HAIAgedFendProject2025 #IleIfe #YorubaRoyalty #HumanitarianQueen #OoniPalace #IfecityblogTV #AroleOduduwa #YorubaCulture
