Thanks so much for watching today's video where I make a tartan tag with a Scottish theme for the #tagtuesday collab hosted by the lovely ‪@handmadebyshirley3715‬ . For today's project I used the Traditional Tartan layering stencil from Card Making Magic and the Rotating Stamp Platform from Creative Craft Products. The inks I used to make the tartan tag were: Scattered Straw for the background, Shabby Shutters,m owed lawn and fossilised amber (all in distress oxides) and milled lavender in distress ink. The stamp set is called Wooly Bears - Hamish and was made by Kanban. If you had a guess at what Gie it Laldy means .... well done! The phrase means to give it your best effort, or do it with enthusiasm! It's in the Scots language (one of three official languages in Scotland - Scots, English, Scottish Gaelic (with a long A as in Garlic not like the Irish Gaelic which is pronounced like Gaylic!) plus British Sign Language.
