This is my 500th Video on my channel which comes from my 1st time at Bethnal Green the first stop out of London Liverpool Street on the Lea Valley Lines, West Anglia Main Line as well as passing services from the Great Eastern Main Line Featuring services from Greater Anglia, Elizabeth Line and London Overground During filming there was disruption on the West Anglia Main Line due to a fault with the signalling system at London Liverpool Street caused by a Track Circuit Failure which did result 4 of the Platforms being blocked. Bethnal Green station is the 1st station out of London Liverpool Street on the Lea Valley Lines was opened by the Eastern Counties Railway in 1872 which at the time replaced the Mile End Station although not to be confused of today's London Underground Station. In 1875 the lines open into London Liverpool Street replacing the former terminus of Bishopsgate which the gradient into the station is a steep 1 in 30 descent. There was also platforms on the GEML however closed on December 8th 1946 however remains of the former Eastbound platform still remain The closure of the GEML platforms was 5 days after London Underground Central Line was opened from Liverpool Street to Stratford to their station of Bethnal Green however like another example of Edgware Road on the Circle, Hammersmith & City and District Line station and Bakerloo line stations although have the same name however no direct connections between the two. Today the station is managed by London Overground which took over operation of the Lea Valley Line routes and Romford to Upminster Line in May 2015 from Greater Anglia which also at the same time TFL Rail took over the London Liverpool Street to Shenfield services which since May 2022 rebranded as the Elizabeth Line. Service frequency at the stations 2 Platforms is 8 trains per hour with 4 per hour to Chingford and 2 half hourly services to Cheshunt and Enfield Town which nowadays are provided by Class 710 Aventras which replaced the Class 315s and 317s. Elizabeth Line services are provided mainly by Class 345 Aventras which first entered service in September 2017 as 7 car formations however nowadays all 70 sets are 9 car sets replacing the Class 315s. The Class 315s been on the Great Eastern Main Line since 1984 are in their final weeks of operation which at the time of filming only 6 sets remained and were only used Monday to Friday Peak Hours Only however likely to be fully withdrawn when Shenfield services begin running underground via the new Central Section of the Elizabeth Line A few weeks after filming on August 23th 2022 it was announced by TFL that Shenfield Elizabeth Line services will start running to Paddington joining up with the Abbey Wood services at Whitechapel which also includes opening of Bond Street Crossrail as well as running a Sunday service. Abbey Wood trains will run directly to Reading and Heathrow Terminals 4 and 5 however Shenfield trains won't be running directly beyond Paddington until a new timetable change is implemented in Mid May 2023 which will finally complete the full running of the Elizabeth Line Greater Anglia has undergone significant change as well with both Intercity and Stansted Express services nowadays been provided by Class 745s built by Stadler in Bossang, Switzerland which replaced the Class 90s in Between September 2019 and March 2020 and also in turn replaced the Class 379s which were reduced to other Greater Anglia services during 2021 however were withdrawn in February 2022 on High Leasing costs although their future is uncertain. The Class 720s built from the same Aventra Family as the 345s and 710s by Bombardier nowadays since January 2021 are maintained by Alstom which so far have replaced the Class 317s which were withdrawn on July 16th 2022 having been in service since 1984. The Class 321s ex Northern Sets 321/9s and 322/4s were in their final weeks of service due to be withdrawn by end of September 2022 however the 30 remaining 321/3 Renatus sets are due to stay on until sometime Mid 2023 according to Greater Anglia which is when all the 133 sets of Class 720s with 89 720/5s and 44 720/1s are due to be in service. Originally the order when it was placed in August 2016 was originally 89 720/5s and 22 720/1s with the 720/1s being 10 car sets however in September 2020 the order was revised to all Class 720s to being 5 car sets which is similar to the originally 6 sets ordered for C2C now 12 Class 720/6s. Bethnal Green station on the Lea Valley Lines can be a very busy place and with the constant traffic on all 6 lines out of London Liverpool Street even on a weekday afternoon it's not hard to see why.
