Today I'm traveling with ERTMS on the Hanzenlijn for the first time! During this trip, it becomes clear that this system will save time. You can see that we're driving 80 km/h at the switch near Dronten, and not already at the main signal, which is quite a distance before it. It's a unique experience not to have to brake at the signal showing yellow-8. And we're now traveling at 160 km/h with this local train, instead of the usual 140 km/h. Fantastic! It's Monday, January 12th. Hop on board and ride with me on train series 9000, departing at 12:22. Along the way, we'll stop at Dronten and Kampen Zuid. Enjoy! Vandaag rijd ik voor het eerst met ERTMS over de Hanzenlijn! Tijdens deze rit wordt duidelijk dat dit systeem tijdwinst gaat opleveren. Zo zie je dat we bij Dronten pas bij het wissel 80 rijden, en niet al bij het hoofdsein, dat een heel stuk voor dit wissel staat. Het is een bijzondere ervaring om niet te hoven remmen bij het sein dat geel-8 toont. En we rijden nu 160 met deze stoptrein, in plaats van de gebruikelijke 140. Geweldig!
