The existing handle simply unscrews. And the replacement toilet handle easily screws on BUT ONLY FINGER TIGHT. No wrench needed. IMPORTANT: The nut inside the toilet tank that secures the handle (old and new) will likely be reverse threaded. That means unscrewing the nut requires a clockwise rotation and tightening the nut requires counter-clockwise rotation. If you have a bendable brass arm attached to your handle, it can be bent.
