BIBLICAL Zionism vs Political Zionism? Judah AND the lost sheep of the House of Israel? BIBLICAL vs Politics AND Religion Honest questions Many believers were and are taught that 1948 — when the modern State of Israel was declared — fulfilled Isaiah 66:8. Others have been taught the partial gathering of Judah played and plays no role in YHWH's redemptive plan. Could it be the BOTH sides of the political “Shall a nation be born in a day?” But here’s a question worth pausing over: If the prophets describe Israel being restored to the full covenant land promised by God… why were the borders of 1948 drawn by political agreements and negotiations between nations rather than matching the boundaries described in Scripture? The original Balfour Declaration had a greater Israel foot print in mind in 1917. By the time 1948 rolls around the negotiations had shrunk what the “State Of Israel” borders would be. Could it be possible we have assumed a prophetic fulfillment before the full biblical picture actually unfolds? Was 1948 ONLY a partial fulfillment which sets the stage for Zechariah 12 TO BE FULFILLED, which would THEN fulfill many prophecies. Questions worth thinking about and discussing WITHOUT dividing. Context is crucial and critical A verse out of context becomes pretext, which then becomes doctrine and we wonder why many may be confused. Almost like a puzzle piece in wrong place will never allow the picture to be clear. Being a critical thinker is so important. We live in times that it doesn’t matter whose right just heart to get it right. I, Melissa Schilling Smith and Nathan Harmon ALL see both/all "sides" of the above questions. Asking questions doesn’t make us anti-Israel or Jew haters. When we stop asking questions or are immediately "labeled" as "anti" just for asking questions, that’s a problem. We all know God uses people and other nations. This includes the "head puppets" or "kings of this earth." We need to be able to examine ALL of Scripture , unfulfilled propehcy and pray on how the pieces/sticks will ultimately come together as one.
