🇱🇰 Exploring Nuwara Eliya & Kandy, Sri Lanka!!

In this vlog I’m exploring the beautiful hill country of Nuwara Eliya and Kandy — and honestly the views here are incredible. Even from a bus window it’s like WOW 😍🌿 I start in Nuwara Eliya where I visit the famous Labookellie Tea Centre for a tea factory tour to see how Sri Lanka’s world-famous Ceylon tea is made. The tea plantations around here are stunning and it’s such a cool experience seeing the process from leaf to cup. ☕🍃 I learnt all about the Colombo Tea Auction too and even got a free tea tasting! I then explore Victoria Park, stop by the iconic pink Nuwara Eliya Post Office 📮 to mail postcards to my friends and family. I couldn’t forget to grab coffee at the very cool Kaffyn Tuktuk Coffee (which might be one of the most unique coffee spots I’ve seen). Hehe I loved that it’s a little Tuktuk! Of course there’s lots of food in this vlog too 😅 including trying Barfi, a sweet treat that’s super popular across South Asia. Then I head to Kandy where I visit the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of the most important religious sites in the country. The atmosphere there is really special. It was a little crowded but the museum was a highlight for sure!! And free with your temple admission ticket. There are also some really nice hotels, loads of delicious Sri Lankan food, and some seriously beautiful scenery along the way. And yes… somehow I forgot to film the shopping in Kandy 🤦‍♀️ oops.
